Great Party
It was so great last night. Hahahaa.....So I need sleep today.
It was a early birthday party for Alex and we started around at 730pm. I thought the party was only with girls. That's her orginal thought. Just when I got there, I only see two guys there. hahahaha....
A lot of food and drinks. Alex put very great effort and bought so many stuff. She was so surprised that I drank so much last night. I was surprised myself too. Since both of us knew that I can't drink much, I don't want to mess up her home and need to clean anything extra. hhahaa....So at the beginning, I just had half glass of red wine but then seems...........I don't remember how much I drank?! Maybe another two glasses of champagne? She bought more or less 15 bottles of different red/ white/champagne. But also I gave a bottle of red for her birthday and a few more people also bought her wine. hahaha....Her home is a wine cellar now. NoNo...It was wine cellar last night but now all bottles are empty already. hehehe
We had great time. Eating, drinking and chatting up to 12 mn, people started to leave. Janice suggested to go to an Irish pub for rugby. We had no idea of anything about rugby but we all came with her. hahaha....
The pub was so crowded and everyone was so excited about the game. However, I was too sleepy, just stayed half hours then I went home. Now........I have two BIG Black circules. Poor Me!!!!

Beside the party thing, I met a former student who actually is friend of Alex also. The world is so small or actually that's Hong Kong is too small? hehehhe....
Also another thing is the time when I arrived, the security asked me which floor I looked for. At that moment, I realised that I knew Alex so long but I didn't know her family name. I am so bad. I have to remember this and ask her. hahahaha....

Have you heard about 'Jinny Joe Day'?
Have you heard about 'Jinny Joe Day'? Sounds like Irish with too many '... Day'.
'Jinny Joe' is the seeds that carry your wish and delivery your love by wind. It is dandelion seeds. That is something i like to do. If I see one, for sure I would pick it and blow it. Hope they all flies. Wish I did make my wishes with them.
When I read the book 'If You Could See Me Now', it talked about 'Jinny Joe Day'. I think it is something like the writer created because I can't find any information on internet. I love this book.
It is the book again......Make me laugh and cry when I read it and that's no matter where I read. I can be like a crazy girl., giggling and tears running down sometimes.
It is an interesting book about a 30's woman who adpoted her sister's son. He is 6 years old and started to have an imaginary friend. After she met a guy, she thinks that his imaginary friend gone. This guy is special and helps her to retreat her life from past. You can feel that those peple in the novel is so alive. You can find them everywhere, especial if you live in a small town.
Did you ever have a feeling like your living place/area/town/district like making you suffocate? Why would you think that? Do you sometimes prefer everyone can't see u? My wish is always to be invisible, don't like eyes on me. I like listening but I don't want people focus on my problem. Talk about my friends but not always me if I can.
What do you about door? It is unfriendly or keep you save? Why children can learn fast but adult not?
In the novel, it talked a lot about those. It is a great book and make me think about how children can be creative and lovely. Simple but creative. A conservation with a friend last week, we both think we are too complicated and can't really live simply. Can we still have big smile because of get a bit bigger scoop of ice-cream? Beside PSP and Gameboy, do we know how to creat toy?
Remember a tiebian movie, one guy took the villagers to the town and earned more money, they bought toys back to the village. His wife saw the son played the toy. She grabbed the toy and threw it away and shouted him 'kids don't need this, they can make their toys!' Can we still make our own toy? Entertain ourselves with very simple things?
Read this book, made me think a lot, relvant and irrlvent. Just a piece of mind. 'When you give a piece of mind to someone, you return your heart to them' (this is the sentence I remember from the book but maybe not so accurt, just the way I remember)

Si Wa and Mei Ren
This Wednesday, I had a class of mandarin with a 5 years old Indian boy. He is very cute as always (when he doesn't cry and scream. He is a nice kid)
I wore stockings that day and in between the lesson. He suddenly touch my knee and said ' This is cute. How do we call it in Mandarin?' If he is not a kid, for sure I would give him a slap. However, I can't blame a kid who is being curious.
Later in the class, I taught him to say corn 'yu mi'. However, he pronouced 'mei ren'. That's interesting because 'mei ren' means beauty. I told him that the meaning of 'mei ren' is beauty and corn is 'yu mi'. Guess what? He looked at me seriously and said 'Ni shi mei ren' in mandarin to me which means 'you are beauty.'
Oh my Goddness. He is so sweet. hehehe....His sister was laughting as I gave him a lovely smile for sure. Who doesn't like to be called as beauty?! hehehee.....
Wa shi mei ren bu shi yu mi. hahahahaha.....

Diamond and Child solider
Finally, I saw 'Blood Diamond' last night. It was so great but heavy movie. Let me think about one of the best movies last year, 'The Constant Gardener'.
In the movie, an old man said 'please don't let them find oil'. Some countries get rich because of the natural resources. However, mostly get some many hurt and kills before get rich. Maybe we would think that's stupid as why they would kill each other but who is behind them? We can always guess but also just guess.
Movie is movie, that's true but also it reflects part of true. When we buy a diamond beside we should think about 4C and with cert or not, to make sure that we didn't buy anything diamond from thief. We should think about 'Conflict diamond' as well.
In the movie, it doesn't only talk about diamond but also child soliders. They were just like be 'brain-washed' and to do a lot of terrible things. The situation is crazy. You want to kill or to be killed?
Most of the time, we can refuse to listen what is actually happening everyday and just choose to believe what make us feel better. I know I am one of them. I know some people can live simple and happy. Somehow I have a doubt if I can live in a village but still happy. Maybe I am just too complicated...

New Diary in New Year (22/01/07)
My last post was last November. I am almost guilty now as didn't write anything for long time. hehehe....
My new year revolution is trying to save money for my Europe trip and for my friendS' weddings. Try to study German again (I made the same WISH last year too). Try to write my blog more and more often (if I can).
Read my old diary and I found some people already disappeared in my life already. Sounds not very nice but actually not bad. I also found that some people that I mentioned in very old post but I already forgot who were they. Do I have to worry about my memory system? I know that I am getting old. hahahaha....
